The delete is scoped to your ownership and is idempotent: a project that does not exist, or that belongs to another account, returns the same success. Success therefore means “this call needs no further delete handling” — it is not proof that the project existed or that this call removed it. Nothing about another account’s data is affected or disclosed.

Common errors

• code = 47017: a generation is still in flight for this project. The job is not cancelled; wait for it and retry the delete.
